This page is to communicate key details for the 2020 Candy Fundraiser.
Our annual Candy Fundraiser is the Pack's opportunity to fund the pack activities throughout the year. Every Scout is expected to participate in this fundraiser event, or consider providing the equivalent funds. The Pack receives 40% of the candy sales. Typically, our pack requests each scout to sell $60 in candy.
The Pack tries to make it easy to accomplish this fundraising goal by organizing Storefront Sales during September and October. Prizes are available for reaching various sales levels and our pack awards top sellers at the den and pack level. CANDY Fundraiser Overview
2020 Hershey Candy Fundraiser
· Each scout is expected to participate in the Hershey Candy Fundraiser program, regardless of previous fundraiser contributions.
· Families will need to give $60.00 per scout and you will receive a fundraiser carrier box of 30 assorted Hershey candies that will sell for $2.00 each. Once sold the family will then have the funds back.
· Intension of participation is due to the pack treasurer, Stephen McLendon, no later than Friday 8/28/2020. If you need to contact him his phone number is (203) 788-4923 and his email is magusmotis@yahoo.com
· Then Candy will be available for pickup starting Monday 9/14/2020 at which time payment is due
· All proceeds from the first box of candy go to the pack for operating costs
· Half of the proceeds for additional boxes of candy, past the first one, that the family purchases before the end of November 2020 will be credited to the scout for Registration and dues, activity fees like trips and 2021 summer camp, in that order. If any funds remain after summer 2021 they will be forfeit to the pack.
· If a family decides to opt out of this fundraiser they will need to donate $60.00 to the pack no later than Friday 08/28/20
· If there are any extenuating financial circumstances that a family has, please bring this to the attention of leadership and we will work with you.
· VERY IMPORTANT- We must know your participation intentions and how many boxes you anticipate purchasing, remember it will be at least one box, no later than 08/28/20
· You only need to pay for the first box of candy no matter how many the scout sells. You pay $60.00 for the first box, sell that box, and take that $60.00 and purchase another box and so on. This can go on until the end of November or we run out of inventory.
· Any family that does not communicate intentions or tell us of a financial hardship by 8/28/20 will be assumed to opt out of the program and $80.00 will be added to the scouts registration and dues owed.

8/20/20 - First Pack Meeting, Review for year and fundraiser information
8/28/20 - Pack needs to know how many boxes each family needs
9/14/20 - Candy pickup and payment
September and October: Storefront sales (all depends on CDC, BSA and Pack Guidelines)
11/30/2020 - End of Candy Fundraiser
