Pronounced “WEE-buh–los“, the word “Webelos” means WE’ll BE LOyal Scouts. After earning the Bobcat badge, a Scout in the fourth grade may earn the Webelos Badge.
The Webelos Program is more challenging than Lion, Tiger, Wolf, and Bear programs for younger Cub Scouts. Webelos Scouts take part in Cub Scout pack meetings and activities as well as Webelos den meetings, activities, and outdoor fun. Webelos Scouts can earn Webelos & Arrow of Light Adventure Pins at any time.

For Ages 9/10 or 4th Grade

Den Leaders

Our Webelos den is lead by Brandon Merritt
Meeting Location: John Pettibone Community Center

Shopping List

Your scout needs a rank-appropriate uniform and handbook that they will use throughout the year.   Rank-specific shopping lists (including optional items) can be found below.  All of these items can be purchased in-person or online at a Scout Shop. There are three locations in the area:
  • Rankin Sporting Goods (37 Newtown Rd, Danbury CT 06810)
  • The Connecticut Rivers Scout Shop (60 Darlin St, East Hartford, CT 06108)
  • Online at www.scoutstuff.org

Handbook

The official handbook is a Scout’s guide to their year in Cub Scouting.  It is where they can find everything they need to complete requirements and many other Family Scouting activities.
